Meetings Diary

We meet at Dunnington Reading Rooms on a monthly basis. Start/end times will vary depending on activity.
Basic materials will be provided for beginners but please bring along an old towel and, if you have it, your felting kit.
Please note that for sessions with invited external tutors bookings will open one month before the workshop.

(First visit free) £5 for non-members. £3.50 members.

York Feltmakers Programme 2024 Dates and Timings

We normally, but not always, meet on the 3rd Saturday of the month.
Workshop bookings are open 1 month in advance.
On meeting days the hall will be open for members to work from 10.00am – 4.00pm.

15th June	10.00am - approx 4.00pm - Open session Basic felting skills and demonstrations.
20th July	10.00am - approx 4.00pm - Skillshare Needle Felting fungi - Annie Dundas.
17th August	10.00am - approx 4.00pm - Skillshare Cracked earth. Wet felting - Margaret Chalmers.
21st September	10.00am - approx 4.00pm - Workshop Angela Barrow - Working with mixed British fibre we will make samples plus 3D vessels - detailed information will be available nearer the time.
19th October	10.00am - approx 4.00pm - Skillshare Wet felt pumpkins using book resists - Carol Forbes.
16th November	10.00am - approx 4.00pm - Skillshare To be confirmed- Anne Barnard.
14th December	10.00am - approx 4.00pm Open session Wet felt and needle felt Christmas decorations.

*A skillshare is an informal session with a demonstration and the opportunity to practise a particular felt making skill.
